  • A person who has deposits of fat that haven’t responded to diets or exercise

What are the different surgical approaches to rhinoplasty?

There are two main types of rhinoplasty procedures:

  • Open: Open rhinoplasty is a procedure for major nose reshaping. Your surgeon makes incisions to separate the skin from bone and cartilage, to see the underlying anatomy of your nose. The healing process is longer and side effects such as edema and bruising are common.
  • Closed: Closed rhinoplasty is a minor nose reshaping procedure. Your surgeon makes incisions to separate skin from bone and cartilage to reshape it. The recovery time is shorter and there are no stitches left.

What can rhinoplasty treat?

Rhinoplasty is performed on both men and women over the age of 18. With the nose job, your nose size can be increased or decreased, large nostrils can be reduced, and the shape of the nose tip can be changed. During this procedure, cartilage and bone curvatures that cause breathing problems can also be corrected. Apart from this, nasal aesthetic surgeries are also performed to correct the deformity that develops due to various traumas.

Besides, the nose job can treat the following problems :

  • Nose width at the bridge or in the size and position of the nostrils
  • Nose profile with visible humps or depressions on the bridge
  • Nasal tip that is enlarged or bulbous, drooping, upturned or hooked
  • Nostrils that are large, wide or upturned
  • Nasal asymmetry

How is rhinoplasty performed?

Rhinoplasty is performed under hospital conditions and under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. Prior to the surgery, blood tests are done, photos are taken. These photographs can be effective in guiding the physician during the surgery and achieving the patient’s expectations.  You’ll get consultation with your surgeon . This meeting provides you the opportunity to ask questions,  express your needs, discuss surgery options, outcomes and risks. You are put to sleep under general anesthesia. The surgery lasts 2 to 3 hours.

Day 1

Arrival in İstanbul

Our transfer agent welcomes you in Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gökçen Airport and accompanies you to the VIP transfer. You will be dropped off at the hotel. Please complete your check-in procedure with your ID card without making payment. You can spend the rest of the day relaxing in the hotel, going to a nearby shop mall or you can go for sightseeing.

Day 2

Surgery

Preliminary preparation is required. X ray and Blood tests are made. The areas to be treated are designed by the surgeon. Then the patient is taken to the operating room. Depending on the area you’re having treated and how much fat you’re having removed, your procedure can take between one and three hours to complete. However, this is only the time for the actual surgical procedure. The preoperative and post-operative procedures will extend your time in the hospital to a full day.After the surgery, you’ll be closely monitored by medical staff and you will typically stay in the hospital for 1 night.

Day 3

Discharge

You are discharged the next day after staying in the hospital for 1 night.

Day 4

Rest

You can rest in the hotel and follow your own program.

Day 5

Rest

You can rest in the hotel and follow your own program.

Day 6

Control

You are taken to the hospital for a final check up with your surgeon. You’ll be provided with all necessary care and instructions.

Day 7

Control and departure

Our VIP transfer will pck you up from your hotel and drive you to the airport.
