Hair transplant
PRP Treatment

PRP or Plasma is obtained from one’s own blood. Depending on the treatment, blood is taken, it is then placed in a special device. This device allows PRP to be separated from other blood cells. PRP has several strengthening factors that can positively affect your hair. Then, Plasma is injected into the scalp by the specialists. This part of the PRP treatment takes about 30 minutes. After the treatment, no pain is felt and no scars left. PRP does not cause an allergic reaction and after being injected, the person returns back to his/her daily activities.

Who is candidate for PRP treatment?

  • Over the age of 18
  • PRP treatment is preferred by both men and women, who have thin, weak hair or who live a hair loss due to special, genetic or seasonal reasons.

How many prp sessions do we need?

The required number of sessions are determined by the specialist doctor according to the hair structure and fineness. For an average of 1 year, PRP treatment is done 4 to 6 times at 2 or 3month intervals. One session per year would be enough for the following years.

Is prp treatment needed with hair transplant?

PRP treatment can be injected with hair transplantation. When PRP is injected into the scalp after the procedure, the healing process decreases up to 6 months. In addition, PRP ensures the permanence of hair follicles after hair transplantation and nourishes the newly transplanted hair follicles. We five 1 session of PRP treatment for our patients at the end of the surgery.

What Are The Stages Of The ICE FUE Method?

  • Step 1: Collecting Blood
  • Step 2: Separating the Platelets
  • Step 3: Platelet-Rich Plasma
  • Step 4: Return of PRP to the Patient

A small amount of blood is drawn from the patient’s arm.

The blood goes in a centrifuge separating the platelets from the rest of the blood.

The patient’s own platelet-rich plasma is now extracted from the test tube.

The plasma is injecred into the injured area or inflammed tissue.

Can ı take a shower after PRP treatment?

The main reason to refrain from washing your hair 24 hours after the treatment is undertaken is the risk of impacting your PRP treatment. We also advise patients not to exercise on the day of the PRP treatment. Like shampooing, exercise can also be resumed the day after your PRP injections.

Can ı Smoke after PRP treatment?

If possible, please refrain from, or minimize, smoking three days prior to and one day after the treatment. Smoking may impact healing and oxygen delivery to the scalp, therefore, your results may be improved the longer you are able to stop smoking before and after the treatment.

How many sessions of PRP should I have for optimal results?

We recommend a PRP session every other month after a hair transplant and when your hair has become thin. We recommend doing PRP sessions every other month for the first 3 months and every 2 months for the following months. We recommend a minimum of 3 to 8 sessions in the first year. In subsequent years you can repeat 1 or 2 sessions per year.
